If Ever A Wonderful Wiz There Was, The Wizard Named Oz Is One Because...
It's been about fifteen minutes a while since I became illogically and somewhat freakishly consumed by some person, trend, fad, or combination of the three...so I decided to fall in love.
And did I fall. Truly. Madly. Deeply.
Would you like to meet him? Here he is:

That's right! It's Dr. Oz. Dr. Mehmet Oz. Last night, I enjoyed Dr. Oz for HOURS. I told you I had fallen in love.
I think Oprah grew him in her special fancy-people greenhouse, but she was kind enough to set him loose on the world for the rest of us to enjoy. That Oprah, always thinking about us.
In all seriousness, I watched three straight hours of Dr. Oz programming on the Discovery Health Channel, and though I just ate yogurt covered pretzels for dinner, I'm sure that I am well on my way to better health, beauty, and happiness.
I watched You on a Diet, Dr. Oz: Beating Obesity, Dr. Oz: Beauty Inside Out, and I would watch them again. OK. I KNOW I will watch them again. And you should, too.
This guy knows everything, and he is reasonable. He doesn't expect you to eat pureed Kale and wake up at dawn to align your chakras. He explains, clearly and not using frightening words, why bodies work the way they do and why people look the way they look. Plus, he made a very compelling argument forme to get Botox to help eradicate the Grand Canyon of Forehead Butt Cracks between my eyes people to use a little plastic surgery assistance in the right situations. Although I should have been using my time to write the MONSTROUS research paper I am supposed to be writing - even now, as I type - watching Dr. Oz was a much more meaningful use of my time.
This is the very same guy who went on Oprah and talked about what your poop should look like. You'll have to do some research of your own to find the answer to that...I'm not writing about poop.
Oh all right. Here you go.

Everybody poos? YOU ARE KIDDING ME!
I heart Dr. Oz. I loved "You on a diet." He makes me feel happy fun times.

I love him too. I found him long before Oprah made him big because I have a sick obsession with anything to do with illness and have been obsessed with the discovery health channel for years. I love his show (forget the name) on how to navigate feeding kids. Common sense stuff I can handle with my walnut sized brain. ANd he's cute. I have a thing for tall, dark, intelligent, and nerdy.

Did you know that Dr. Oz is from a Wilmington, DE family? And that he was the first doctor I ever heard of who actually insisted that each patient being operated on also had a person standing at their foot and holding it--spreading calm and healing thoughts--and that his success rate for cure is very high because of his mind/body/spirit connection (trite, but true)...given how bad our health insurance situation is these days, we can use all the help we can to heal ourselves.....
