The President...Yeah, the President of STUPIDHEADLAND

How is it that George Bush had never been to Europe before he became President (if this is not true, don't write me and tell me or think bad thoughts about me...I need it to be true to make my point.  Roll with it) and he is NOW in Europe, on my dime(s) being Presidential.  He's over there sabre-rattling about Iran, driving around in motorcades, and generally being ignored by Europeans.  They don't care about him.  They could take him seriously, in which case they'd have to get very angry about how he has destabilized...everything - the world, the economy, the environment, and my personal levels of political rage.  But that's just exhausting, especially when they know he's on the way out and that history will punish him to a much greater degree than their protests and cries of "foul" ever could.   So he has to be treated as irrelevant.  But it still rankles me that I'm paying for him to go to Europe.  Shouldn't his father have paid after he "graduated" from "Yale"?  I sincerely hope he's ordering off of the early-bird menu.

We're treating him as irrelevant here, too.  For similar reasons as the Europeans are I think.  If we have to look the George Bush presidency in the face and acknowledge just how devastating it has been, we have to accept (not me, suckers, I didn't vote for him...TWICE) that, in a democratic society, we did this to ourselves on some level.  But that's just exhausting, especially when we know he's on the way out and that history will punish him to a much greater degree than our protests and cries of "foul" ever could.   So he has to be treated as irrelevant.
