Last night when Her Hillariness closed her speech by not ceding the primary to Obama like she should have if she had chosen to salvage any personal dignity whatsoever but nevermind, she directed listeners to hillaryclinton.com to send her a message to tell her "what to do next."
I planned a very nice, not even remotely bitchy, comment telling her (some of) what I think she should do.
TURNS OUT: the message you send her must begin with "I'm with you Hillary, and I'm proud of everything we are fighting for." Then you can personalize your message.
THE KICKER: You can't actually "send" your "message" until you click through to a donations page. If you don't wish to make an online contribution, your only other option, as near as I can see, is to click a button to "make a donation through the mail or by phone" ...which you arrange by supplying your address and phone number.
Here's what I'm going to do.

Then, once they get here to WRH, I'm going to tell them that their honest opinion is that I kick ass in every way, and then I'm going to force them, for the pleasure of telling me how great I am, to send me money to offset my mortgage debt.

I'm confused. How does it help to insult the Clinton supporters? 18 million people voted for her, do you think Senator Obama has a chance without them? I agree she should have thrown her support behind Barak last night. She didn't though, probably because she wants to ensure the 18 million people that voted for her that their voices will he heard and their opinion will be respected. Maybe she has something here considering the disrespectful tone of your post. You make it seem that Hillary is the only politician that shills for money. Obama has raised more money than other candidate ! I'm sure you think the money he collects is pure, not the tainted type of money Hillary gets. It is time to kiss and make up not kick a woman when she's down. Take a cue from Barak, and the respect he showed her last night. That is how the party is going to come together. Your post just pushes the two sides further apart.

1) Danny chill the hell out. How is it that you ALWAYS manage to misinterpret whatever I say and escalate it to defcon 4? Are you so starved for non evangelical democrats over there that you jump all over my shit knowing I won't hate you forever or turn you into the thought police for spewing your vitriol all over WRH?? Believe me, if Obama's site had asked people to send their honest opinions about what to do with his campaign and then only allowed them to do so by saying, "Yes I support you" and then only registering the comment if you made a donation, I'd be bitching about that too. I think it was a sleazy move. I totally get why she didn't concede, and I respect the fact that there a crap load of (deluded) people out there who need to be honored and respected for their support and commitment to her. They'd all goddamn well better show up to vote for Obama though, in November, or WRH is going to blow a fucking gasket.

I love the fact that people can have honest disagreements in a respectful way on here. What was vitriolic about what I wrote? My point was and is it is time to come together, by dissing Hillary you are feeding into some of her followers mentality that she should stay in it until the convention.
I do not understand why you would hate anyone forever over political differences, unless of course they still support Bush !!
Why are we deluded? I believe the record shows that she won every debate and is a policy wonk on every issue. She is very close if not identical to Barak on every issue. Are you deluded? Because they are very similar on their views of running the government. Your last comment about running like the wind is a low blow.

I don't know WRH all that well, but she's said some nice things to me, so I'm inclined to think she's brilliant.
But seriously, (and I don't want to put words in her mouth here) she told her supporters to stop by and just listen to that condo speech. Free breakfast, lunch on the beach. All free. No obligation. Oh, except that to actually LEAVE the presentation, you'll need to pony up $250. Y'know, for expenses and whatnot.
To me that looks like she doesn't have a lot of respect for her supporters, because she's treating them like rubes.
The post isn't about straightforward requests for the cashish.
The post isn't about who won debates.
It was about conning money from people in the guise of asking for advice.
I know you're not a rube, Dan. But Hillary's hoping you fall for her bait and switch.

A valid point that I actually agree with, but not all her supporters are rubes or delusional. That is all I am saying,I think she'll land on her feet. She's certainly not getting any money from me, my kids have braces.

At the point when Hils started asking "What does Hillary want?" in the middle of her speech, I was hoping she'd just be honest with herself and blurt out something like "POWER ... I WANT POWER." ... or "I sold my soul for this. I want whatever I can get." ... or "Make me your VP or I'll make Michelle disappear ... and oh by the way, I'd settle for being First Lady again."
I hope she goes off the deep end. Yes, I'm weird. ... Babs
