I Wasn't Kidding About the Giant Squid
I really do love Giant Squid. And now, I can watch one THAW on a webcam.
Don't think I won't. I will.

I keep returning to the SquidCam today (it's really called that! Really!). There are four cameras, and they show...a giant frozen squid. You can't really tell how giant until you see a person or two or three gently loosening icy tentacles in an effort to faciliate the big thaw. I am not a Creatures of the Sea kind of person...AT ALL...and I couldn't figure out why I was so obsessively checking on the giant squid defrost on the SquidCam (it's just fun to say, try it!)...then I got it.
Subconsciously, I have been waiting for it to wake up and grab someone with a newly de-iced tentacle and swing the terrified and bewildered biologist around the room Alien/Doc Ock style.
I'm starting to wonder if maybe I should be seeking a little more adventure in my daily life.

Sounds about as exciting as watching paint dry! Now, if it were a cyrogenically frozen squid that WOULD actually go all Doc Oc on us, that's a different story.
