The End is Nigh
I was planning a nice quiet review of Sue Miller's The Senator's Wife, which I finished yesterday. That will have to wait.
Instead. I give you this:
This new children's book is about what happens when mommy goes in for a quick overhaul. She might look different, and she might hurt a little bit afterwards, but mommy will be prettier!
I'm not making this up.
1) Isn't it kind of a rule that little kids think their mothers are beautiful?
2) Isn't it kind of gross to think of yourself as the neighborhood MILF? Even if you are.
3) !#%$K#L^%K#:$J@%@*
Sorry. My brain just exploded.
Coming soon to a bookstore near you: Why Daddy and his Secretary Wrestle in His Office and

I love how the new mommy is wearing a half-shirt and is clearly displaying a cameltoe. If this isn't an indication of where our culture is headed, I don't know what is.

I agree with Ruth. Just the title of this book is enough to bring out the violent side of me. And I don't have a violent side. I don't even kill bugs. And yet I want to hurt the man who wrote this...
