Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda

Would you look at that.  It's Filch it Friday again already!

Woman on the Verge had a post in January that is similar to the list in my head EVERY SINGLE DAY.  Maybe if I send it out into the cloud, I won't have to take up all the brain space that could be better devoted to thinking about George Clooney and pudding.

What I could be doing with my time this week:

  • Sleeping.  Dude.  Seriously.
  • Writing something intelligent and meaningful.
  • Did I mention sleeping?
  • Dealing with unruly eyebrows and 1 inch long gray roots.
  • Writing the literature review for a psychoeducational group proposal due on Monday.
  • Doing the dishes that are currently sitting in the bathtub in the children's bathroom.  I am not making this up.
  • Buying a sink so that someday soon I can do dishes in a, you know, SINK.
  • Going on a date with my husband.  We are ships that pass out next to each other in the night.  I miss him.
  • Reading What is the What.
  • Playing with my kids.
  • More sleeping.
What I have been doing instead:

  • Thinking about canceling the Netflix membership.
  • Reading People magazine.
  • Wishing I could be a well-known and respected writer for whom words flow in a steady, silvery stream from brain to paper.
  • Worrying about the possibility of a McCain presidency.
  • Moving piles of paper from one dust-covered flat surface to another to another in the construction zone that is my house.
  • Agonizing over which pool to join this summer.
  • Staring into space like an eejit.

You say eejit, too? OMG. And People Magazine? And the husband/two ships thingy? Guess we aren't all that different, eh? Except, I'm not agonizing about the pool thing, because we aren't going to do it this year. Still too dangerous with Bugaboo. I might go to Wallingford as a guest because I have friends that belong there, but we might consider joining when next year when they are a little older.
